"Check-in was easy and the room was reasonably clean, but there was no hand soap or shower gel. The front desk staff member with glasses was curt when this was brought to her attention, although another colleague resolved the issue quickly. At checkout, when asked about my experience, I mentioned that the bed was noisy and uneven. The same staff member appeared to take the comment personally rather than as feedback. A more professional response is generally expected from front desk staff in the hospitality industry, particularly in France."

"What a fabulous hotel. The welcome was lovely and friendly. Room was great. Clean and comfy. The general areas of the hotel are decorated beautifully with lots of little touches that make it feel special. There is parking out front of the hotel but we parked on the road. There are a few great restaurants with a few minutes walk and the owners gave us some great information on others in St Malo. Special mention for the breakfast. It was excellent value, felt very personal and was served in a relaxing environment. They even packed up any of our leftovers for us to take when we asked. Cannot rate this hotel and its owners more highly."

"We got an upgrade and we got to stay in the Grand Suite. Beautiful and spacious room. Unfortunately the night we stayed seems like the aircon vent was not working probably and was making a lot of noise! One other thing I did not like was the shower water pressure, very non existent. Im very grateful for the upgrade but it would have been an amazing stay without these issues! Staff were friedly and accommodating. "
