"I was on a business trip. Both Maurice and Laureen were lovely hosts. The house itself is really clean and has a high specification. You can tell they really care about where they live, and the guest experience. The room was well stocked with tea/coffee etc, and the toiletries were really nice. The room was spotless and bed very comfortable. A great breakfast was on offer, and topped off a brilliant stay. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Maurice and Laureen for making it memorable. :-)"

"Great location, just off the A75 between Gretna (15miles) and Dumfries (10miles). Secluded to give some quite time away from the hussle and bussle of day to day. The hotel is finished to a very good standard and give you a feeling of staying in a property of excellence. Rooms are spacious, clean and inviting. THE ROADHOUSE

8/10 Good
"The location was excellent, walking distance from town centre shops, pubs & restaurants. Hotel also had a car park and nice bar with a free pool table. Owner was very helpful with check in and explaining where everything was. It is not trying to be a luxurious hotel, but for a cheap room for the night to break up a long drive it was perfect for my needs. The only real negative I had is that the bed wasn't the comfiest but I still slept fine."
