"I arrived late at night and to be honest, the place from the outside looked pretty sketchy. But once I got into the room, it was clean and quite new with all the amenities, like a fridge and microwave, that I needed. I initially thought that breakfast might be skimpy with just packaged fare, but there was fresh fruit, orange juice, yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, pastries. My partner has a gluten sensitivity and there were microwaveable frittatas. Chrissy, who was managing the breakfast, was a fount of knowledge and encouraged us to walk through the charming downtown area. All in all, it was an excellent experience."

"Here is a more balanced version that still explains the issues without sounding too harsh: For a budget 3-star Microtel hotel, I did not expect anything fancy, but there were still a few things that could be improved. The breakfast was very basic, so I would not count on it as a full real breakfast. The room also had an unpleasant old smell when I walked in, which made it feel less comfortable. Some parts of the room looked like they had been repaired quickly or not maintained very well, and a few things felt worn or close to needing replacement. Overall, it was acceptable for a cheap budget hotel, but the room could use better maintenance, fresher smell, and some updates to make the stay more comfortable."

"I stay here every yr since 2022 the cpl days before Bonnaroo, its alittle run down but I've nver had an issue with anything. If there's anything wrong with the room they made it right for with no questions, I enjoy my stay every yr"

"Blood and hair on the Bathroom floor, Blood and “other” bodily fluids on the bed cover and sheets. No shower soap in the dispenser and dirty towels. Things just couldn’t have been worse and when complaining with the front desk, they said that they talk to housekeeping to do better in future. I didn’t sleep or shower, instead opting to work through the night at the desk. Would not stay in this hotel again."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Sewanee Inn. The room was wonderful, the beds comfortable, the amenities like the shower products were top shelf, and our dining experience was lovely too. There was nothing negative to say about our stay. The staff was the most helpful we had ever encountered."

"The room and lobby were clean and fresh and the staff were very nice. The only issue is that housekeeping began knocking loudly on doors and saying housekeeping as early as 8:45am and opened the door, looked around, saw me sleeping, then said I’ll come back. It startled me and disturbed my sleep. Not sure why they are opening doors of occupied rooms."
