"Pools were fantastic.... I loved the palm tree lined beach... my favorite shady spot. So many chairs and umbrellas at this resort. Staff is on it... never did I once need to look for a server. Rooms and room service was great too. Good place for families, mine loved it."

"The grounds of the resort and amenities/restaurants were very nice. The staff could have been a bit more friendly. The housekeeping of the rooms was not the best. We had to call several times to get things like the sofa bed to be made or to get towels to the room. The beach itself if beautiful but it is not that relaxing as there are a lot of party and excursion boats lined along the shore. At one point the water shut off for the entire resort for about an hour. I’m not sure I’ve ever had that happen at a resort before. Also we had no snacks in our room the whole time but one of our other family members did. "

"The Mexican restaurant was very poor in food quality, food menu was very basic and the food was stale. It was not worth waiting for entry to the restaurant. The coffee place Mike coffee was good and had awesome coffee and service"

"The property overall seemed clean, our room was cleaned daily. The shower did have some moldy spots. There was an electrical outlet that was hanging out of the wall. The food was starting to taste like plastic towards the middle of the week. The buffet selection was the same every day. It would have been nice to have food carts or lunch grab and go spots around the pool so you didn’t have to go into the buffet for lunch. Drinks were plentiful and they never ran out of anything. People saving seats by the pool and never using the em was annoying. I became a member and was assigned a concierge who never helped with any of my requests. That was disappointing. I actually had two concierge representatives neither one of them were able to follow through with my request which were very simple. One was asking for extra towels and a washcloth that were never delivered. This is resort we will not revisit. "

"The 2 good things about this hotel - the beautiful view of the ocean which we enjoyed on our room's balcony, and the continental breakfast where we were able to eat outside on a 4th floor patio. Coffee was really good there. Problems - beds didn't have a top sheet, just a lightweight blanket. And the rooms were too cold - the thermostats didn't work in at least 2 of the 3 rooms we rented for family. I don't like to waste energy, so I didn't want to open the balcony door to warm the room up with the air conditioning blazing. We asked for and received extra blankets after the first night, but they ran out of extras the second night when more family arrived. I also was told on the phone that they had cribs, but they didn't. We also had been told that they would try to put us next to or near each other. I understand that that may be difficult, but I sensed that they didn't try very hard, and we ended up on 3 different floors. Parking was a bit of a walk in a nearby parking garage, but the garage was well lit and felt safe. I also understand parking is difficult in older areas of a city so we dealt with that. 2 restaurants on the plaza that the hotel was on were casual and really good - El Taller and Carube (sp?). When we asked for an extra blanket, staff brought it up quickly and that person seemed attentive. Next time, I will try to find a hotel nearby this one as the ocean view was wonderful, but a different hotel that could be more accommodating (and had warm blankets)!"
