"The housekeeping were wonderful & had fun teaching me a few Africans. The Dining staff were always there. The tour guides we friendly with great senses of humor. The food was a very good quality and tasty. As someone who is dairy free they had good variety of non-dairy milks, but a lot of food had dairy and as far as gluten-free my options were very limited."

It was perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring, and the spa was relaxing and professional—an ideal way to unwind. Surroundings: The reserve itself is breathtaking—quiet, scenic, and full of unique rock formations. It’s a great base for stargazing, hikes, and soaking in the natural beauty. Highlights: Stargazing under the clear night sky was unforgettable. The guided nature walks gave us a deeper appreciation of the local wildlife and history. Dining options were varied and delicious, fresh with a nice balance of local flavors. Travel notes: Kagga Kamma is located about three hours’ drive from Cape Town, so plan ahead for the journey. The nearest town is roughly an hour and a half away, making the reserve very secluded. This adds to the tranquility, but it’s worth preparing for the remoteness."
