Great Divide Basin hotel rooms a the Independent

"I'll start with check-in. The clerk was rude and very unprofessional in appearance. None of the rooms in the category i had reseved had been cleaned (check-in srarts at 3pm it was almost pm) adter telling me no rooms were available started trying differant room types aging each time not cleaned. Finaky found a room. The room was acceptably cleaned. But the most uncomfortable bed ever in a hotel, heat and air didnt work. At checkout no desk clerk (630am) and a sign with sorry no breakfast. Will not stay again"

"Room was not very clean as shower had residue at drain and rest of room had not been properly vacuumed. Immediate disappointment. Otherwise, the staff in general were pleasant and helpful. "

"The breakfast buffet was one of the worst we have experienced at a Holiday Inn Express. There was 1 piece of turkey bacon, the scrambled eggs were burnt to the pan and the gravy was also burnt to the pan."

"There was supposed to be a Continental breakfast but we got a to-go bag with a nutrigrain bar, mandarin orange cup and apple juice; NOT what I was expecting. Room smelled damp/musty with flowery deodorizer scent on top. Security hasp was broken, light in the bathroom was without a bulb, broken bath tile and very noisy heat pump requiring earplugs to sleep. Carpet felt damp and popcorn ceiling was peeling in a couple spots near the slider door to the outside. King bed had obvious sagging in the mattress from use; overdue for replacement. "
