"NO AC !!
The room is advertised as having AC, but on the day of check-in I was informed that it was not working. I was asked to turn the AC off immediately, and was told that someone would come the next day to make sure it was switched off. I did so, and unfortunately had no AC during my entire 3-night stay, despite temperatures of 38–39°C outside. I was told they were “working on it,” but I didn’t receive any further updates during my stay about whether it had been fixed.
I stayed in room on the 2nd floor, courtyard-facing, with no balcony. The window was less than a meter from another room’s balcony, so conversations could be heard quite easily. With no AC, many guests understandably kept their doors and windows open, which also meant more noise from surrounding rooms. Light sleepers may want to keep this in mind, particularly during hot weather.
On the positive side, check-in was easy, the room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
I really appreciated the coffee machine with several pods, as well as the tea and water boiler.
The location is unbeatable, just a 2-minute walk from the city center and restaurants.
I also noticed a laundry room, although I didn’t use it.
Overall, there were many things I enjoyed about the stay, especially the cleanliness, comfortable bed, thoughtful amenities, and fantastic location. The only downside was the lack of AC during a very hot stay, which also contributed to the noise."
"It’s a great hotel in an excellent location for walking around Graz, with plenty to see and tons of restaurants nearby. There is a public transportation hub very close, and a dedicated taxi stand across from the lobby doors. The rooms are very nice, and the hotel has a very upscale and modern feel, which isn’t generally my style, but there’s nothing to complain about as far as aesthetics and appeal of the property’s design. Nice, adequate breakfast provided, but lacking an actual dining area (you kind of have to eat in the lobby)—still nothing that I’d find to complain about. The staff are very warm and friendly. I enjoyed my stay very much. Photos include a view from my room."
"I always enjoy my stay at the Weitzer. The staff are wonderful, and made me feel welcome. Breakfast is great and the seating next to the water feature is a favorite."
"We had a 3 night stay and it was nice. Very well located, we walked everywhere.
What we mostly missed was storage in the room—there isn’t really a closet to put anything away. There’s a cupboard with a few narrow shelves but those aren’t all that helpful. Our suitcases had to be on the floor and we had to keep mostly everything in it. In a large room (we stayed in the jr. suite), there was plenty of space for storage and tons of wall space for more hooks. The shower in the bathroom was large and nice but nowhere to hang your towel. We had a nice bathtub in the middle of the room but only used it once because it leaked all over. Front desk was very apologetic about it and had it check right away but never communicated with us if the tub was fixed or offered us a different suite, with a working bathtub."
"Wonderful - a perfect place to stay in Graz - relax and enjoy life.
From time to time a come back to Graz and Hotel Daniel was and still is a wonderful place to stay for a night or more - the welcome was warm and friendly.
The new attraction, an Italian Osteria, jukebox music and a nice bar to have drinks with friends or enjoying talks with the staff - take your time ..."
"We had a family suite, which was massive, and very nice. A lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, with friendly and helpful stuff. Just a shame we didn't stay longer, we really liked Graz"
