"The house has a heated pool, which allowed us to swim and sunbathe! Although the house also has air conditioning, nothing beats lighting the fireplace and spending some time chatting! Excellent architecture and decoration. Perfect location, in the countryside near the wonderful beaches. The hosts were very friendly and dedicated. We will return again and I recommend it to everyone looking for an ideal place to relax!"

The Editory Riverside Hotel, an Historic Hotel

"The property itself was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. The room was a nice size for 1 person but the bathroom was tight. I stayed in room 225 facing the river/street view. No issue with outside noise nor did I hear the train while in my room. The hotel is located directly next to the train station which was very convenient and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. There is also a mini market inside the train station and a bakery which stay open to 9pm. No complaints about the hotel. The outside area is under construction so be careful when crossing the streets."

"The staff were exceptionally helpful and took wonderful care of us. Even though my children don't speak Portuguese, the team spoke fluently with them and made them feel right at home. They went above and beyond for all our needs, and the complimentary breakfast had a great variety of delicious options that the whole family enjoyed!"

"Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were ALL wonderful and so helpful. The concierge made multiple bookings for us for all activities and recommended wonderful restaurants. The whatsapp service once you are there is brilliant. The property itself is idyllic, so beautiful and relaxing. The treatments in the spa were excellent. You are also taken everywhere by mini Fiats or golf carts, so super easy to get around the vast property. We also LOVED the bikes. The restaurants on site are wonderful and the breakfast is heavenly! We also did a padel clinic and yoga class (included), both were truly incredible. A special thank you to the front desk, the concierge and to the lovely gentlemen providing pool service too. We will be back in October and many times again. Thank you to everyone at the hotel who made our stay unforgettable."

"It was good but not a five star experience. We were expecting a kitchenette and a balcony and we didn't get either, the air con in the room was not working, the beds were slightly too hard, I asked the housekeeping staff to come back later and they proceeded to sigh and close the door. Staff was friendly. The gym was okay. The pool"
