"A nice residence very clean and comfortable, Only issue i had may be the time of year i visited is there are very restaurants or places to eat within walking distance of La Fonda, A friendly local bar next door and a shop 200mts away you don't really need much else The roof terrace is very good for just chilling out, The terrace is ideal for plane watching as you cannot miss anything into or out airport "

"I recently stayed at this hotel that is nestled in the middle of a forest, creating a cozy and local atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience. "Me and my friend loved this hotel. Lots of food options, cocktails, soft drinks, wine, beer all available (someone previously said cocktails are not free - the ones on tap are free). Plenty of sun loungers even when it’s busy by the pool. Evening entertainment was mostly good! Friendly staff at reception. Easy to get around with the hotel bus stop. All in all really really good quality, especially for what we paid for, it seems like a steal! "

"Outstanding service, exceptional breakfast, great spa, extra comfy beds, piano playing every evening, surrounded by a beautiful park, every team member went above and beyond. We got chocolates and cava, and silk towel to put our feet on every morning. A corner of paradise. We'll be back :)"

Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria – All Inclusive

"We had a lovely relaxing 8 days. Nothing was too much trouble for staff. Meliá hotels are excellent. We paid extra for The Reserve and it was definitely worth it. The Reserve breakfast and lunch buffet was ideal. The pool was fabulous with Bali beds and lots of loungers. Maivelys was incredible serving drinks, fruit and ice cream. She definitely deserves a special mention and is a true asset to the Paradisus."

"The best thing about this hotel is the staff and the food. The property is a lovely art deco style building that needs some updating but the rooms are spacious and the views of the port are great. The third time we have stayed here, the buffet breakfast is great with a nice selection and the food in the bar is great too. Staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Close to bus connections, easy walk to Triana where there is a great selection of shops and restaurants. Kids love the pool on the roof terrace although it was a bit windy during our stay so we didn’t spend too much time there. "

Some bits to improve on

"Overall was a very good stay, albeit I must say the beds were very uncomfortable. Two single beds for a couple and with those top up very thing and soft mattress that aren’t really a mattress and are horrible for your back. Bed frames also had breaks that were not working so the frames would also easily move. When we checked in we were told the pool closing time was at 7, however I got in the pool at 17:55 and got told off by the maintenance guy telling me pool closes at 18:00 and it is o my in summer it closes at 19:00. Gran Canaria is a sunny island and I think the pool should always stay open until 7 so that people can take advantage of it."

"Epic rooftop bar! Friendly staff. Excellent location. Great rooms with balconies. Large selection of foods. Majority of guests were a bit older than expected, but there were a handful of younger couples. Very friendly guests too! All round, excellent hotel. Recommended "
