Great stay!

Great hotel in Olbia. Friendly staff, nice rooms and views. We only stayed one night but wished we had some more time there. Make sure to book reservation for the hotels restaurant if you want to eat dinner there though.

Lovely hotel central to the area. Our suite was beautiful and spacious. Great breakfast selection. Our only disappointment was there was no self service ironing facilities - you would need to pay for an ironing service which was not convenient or timely.

Staff amazing. Pool not accessible for disabled people or elders. That is my case and will put me off returning in the future unless is fixed. Also, the water is cold. Only two negatives among plenty of positives. Other than those, amazing place, amazing food, amazing staff. My room 115 was well equipes and with a lovely outdoors space to chillax. Thank you all for a fantastic time.

My husband and I came to Hotel Marana for the last night of our honeymoon as we wanted to be somewhere nice and also close to the Olbia airport. It’s an absolutely gorgeous gated property with a beautiful pool and very big room. We were treated very well by front desk staff and though we were only there for one night, we wished we had had longer. The only small things I’ll mention is for those who like pitch black rooms, there was a green light above the door that was flashing and lighting up the room a bit with that so we had to put masks on. As well, the rain shower head needs to be decalcified as it was spraying everywhere but my husband fixed it. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to stay for the breakfast buffet but I saw it looked very nice and they made us to-go boxes!

Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff are so friendly and warm. Particular thanks to Alessio who helped us speak to the airport when our bags had been lost and Barbara and Damiano in the restaurant were so lovely and helped us learn some more Italian. The rooms are big, very clean, so cool and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and the food great. Buffet breakfast was fab, as was the buffet dinner. Lunch is a la carte and kind of expensive for lunch but Sardinia is quite expensive, so it’s all relative. There is a path from the hotel to the beach which is beautiful and some sun loungers and parasols reserved for Hotel Marana (you just need tickets from reception) there are some nice beach bars but seem to only open in the day. There is a restaurant open in the evenings, Marinella, which is beautiful but very expensive. We were about to order the lobster tagliatelle which said €35 on the menu, but it was €35 per 100g and weighed 800g so it would have been €280 each for a plate of pasta which is a bit out of budget, ha! The cheapest bottle on the wine list is €70, lovely, but just be aware! The hotel is peaceful and the other guests were all really nice and polite and considerate. Taxis are limited and so expensive. You can walk to Punta Marana to eat but other than that need a taxi or the train from opposite the hotel but they stop at 6.30pm. Visit Porto Rotondo. It’s fabulous.

Amazing pool area

The pool area was amazing. The pool itself was perfect for the kids and us and the sun deck had plenty of space. No need to “reserve” sun beds with your towel, you could always find beds and a good spot. The staff was friendly and they also managed to clean our room while we were having breakfast (positive thing). The only downside was the lack of food for the kids at the dinner buffet. Some pizza slices and plain pasta would have made a big difference for our kids.

I wish there was a path from the hotel to the beach walkway instead of walking on the grass. The hotel restaurant mainly served fish, wish there were more options for those who don’t eat fish. Free public restrooms on the beach would make it convenient instead of having to go back to the hotel. Beside these “desired improvements “ the hotel was great, very clean and beautiful, spacious rooms. Staff was amazing!

Nice staffs, clean room, private beach!

Thank you for the kind staff despite the late check-in. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious and also clean. The large washbasin was convenient to use, and the terrace was good to chill or drying towels and swimsuits. The dining place for breakfast was beautiful and the swimming pool was great too. The swimming pool has no time limit, so you can swim at night. (There are a lot of bugs floating because of the light though.) There is a beautiful private beach (2 minutes walking distance) that you can use umbrella and beach chairs for free. It was a satisfying and wonderful experience. One thing I didn't love was water. We used shower filter that we brought, and it turned very dark in one day.

Hotel carino con un bel giardino e piscina ben curati. Personale gentile. Lasciano però a desiderare i servizi quasi inesistenti per i bambini, non è prevista la possibilità di offrire una merenda se non due gelati ovviamente a caro prezzo. Assenza di prodotti freschi in cucina che risulta quindi scadente e di scarsa qualità, non abbiamo mai trovato un pescato fresco pur trovandoci in Sardegna…per quello che si paga offerta decisamente deludente. La gestione dei servizi offerti alla clientela sicuramente da migliorare
