"The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is a superb historic pub in an old stone building in the Rocks neighborhood of Sydney just near Circular Quay 1 km and the southern end of Sydney harbour bridge. Often when walking in the area, you will get great views of the Bridge. Barangaroo Metro station is 400m walk away. Use the lifts in the culture center just as you exit the metro and 100m away, slightly left. Connects to airport via Central station. The king bed room with ensuite bathroom had stone interior walls, which is very special. The room was basic, but very comfortable. You get character and location in spades. The pub downstairs has excellent craft beers made by their own brewmaster, and the pub food and atmosphere is amazing. A no-brainer!!!"

"The harbor view from my room was beautiful at night. However, you might want to check to see if a cruise ship is set to dock during your stay because it'll block the entire view of the harbor. It was there when I woke up...not the fault of the hotel, of course. The "fish and chips" dinner was absolutely embarrassingly terrible. They were the triangular frozen fish patties you get from the grocery store and mostly hollow bread. The chips were also very poor quality and couldn't have been more salty if they tried. The night duty manager made it right by giving me a free breakfast, however. The breakfast selection was very good, with lots to choose from for food and drink. I would definitely stay there again, but will definitely not partake in their dining services."

"Fantastic location when visiting Sydney. The staff was amazing and very friendly Our room was very comfortable with a window seat that looked out towards the bridge. Highly recommend staying here! "

"Lovely welcoming attentive staff, great breakfast and spacious room. Nice pool too. I gave four stars instead of five because our room had aircon issues so we were cold the whole time. The tech came but it was a bit of a ‘wait and see’ situation and by the time we got in after our night out, we were too tired to request changing rooms."

"Room had hair and pee in the bathroom I had to change rooms and purchase my own small bottle of bleach and clean the room myself. No blanket on the bed. The blanket that was is the room was covered in hairs. Also after asking for a clean blanket twice the two they brought to the room were also covered in hairs. Yuck!"

"Only 3 of the 6 elevators appeared to be working (but there was no signage to confirm this) which resulted in my low mobility mother and I having to wait more than 25 minutes for an elevator to check out, at which point she had to force herself into an already full elevator while I took the stairs. We requested to be taken down in the staff elevator and were denied and told to wait or take the stairs. Very disappointed in the service and this experience and wouldn't recommend it to others especially those with accessibility issues."

"Some room furniture was aged. The place is very nice overall. It is a bit upscale attitude for my taste. Water should be provided not charged."
