The staff was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was good too. The building is old but that's expected in the uk. Right next to the airport bus stop and queen station to travel via the underground or national rails. 10/10 would stay again.

Friendly staff. Room clean and adequate and quiet. Shower a little lacking in water pressure but lovely soft fluffy bath sheet towels. Plentiful tea and coffee in room. Didn't try the breakfast but good bar area. Loved the very central position, close to train and bus station links.

Clean room and nice staff, shout out to Alasdair for engaging chat at breakfast. I know a refurb is planned, so I know this will address some of my concerns about decor. Nice large rooms too but no free water supplied, considering the price for the stay. Not enough working plug sockets for charging devices.

The hotel is centrally located which makes it nice to catch trains. Two things: 1) the mattress was hard as a rock, I toss and turned every night, and 2) took a room on the back of the hotel to avoid noise from George Square. However, I heard the train station announcements clearly!

Great location, literally attached to the Queen Street train station. Short walk to Buchanan Street with lots of shops and restaurants. Room was large with nice amenities. View over George Square which is undergoing a massive restoration. The elevators, floors (and ceilings when people above were walking around) and also the furnishings were old and creaky.

We have stayed here several times in the past. The location is excellent - overlooking George Square. When we stayed here previously, we'd stayed in the larger bedrooms on the second or third floor which were quite nice if rather tired. This stay, we were given a small room on the top floor (room 425). The leather effect covering on the desk chair was badly peeling, the desk lamp was water stained, one of the hinges on the wardrobe was broken and the shower was very low pressure. All of these would be acceptable in a cheap room however, we stayed the night before the Glasgow Half Marathon when hotel rooms were in high demand and were charged £184 for the night without breakfast.

The hotel is undergoing renovations and upgrading. While our room was on the worn and dated side, the bed itself was comfortable and the bedding was lovely. The staff were very kind and helpful. The biggest surprise was the breakfast! Thanks to Alidair I was able to get some fried eggs! It was a hot selection and very fresh. The downside for senior or handicap travellers is that there is no level entrance to the hotel. You have to go up a side street, in through a side door and through a renovation area. There was no mention of this on the website. Overall, it was a good stay that is very central to Glasgow.

We picked this hotel because of the location. And it was great. However, we did not like the very deep bathtub we had to climb into to take a shower. And the well labeled hot towel rack never came on. The terrible thing was the breakfast. It was outrageously expensive with no other option. And the hot water for tea and coffee plus the coffee vending machine were broken. Not good. Plus we felt it was deceiving to ask if we wanted breakfast included at the reservation and then charge us and then tell us there were no drinks.

Excellent location as next door to Queen Street Station. Warm welcome from the staff. Room was a good size, albeit a little dated. Beds were comfy. Only downside for us was no power sockets next to, or near the beds themselves. Meant the c-pap machine couldn't be used!
