Hotel was excellent. Nice area in the West End. Friendly, helpful staff. Good value for the money. Parking was a minor inconvenience and there was a charge which I didn’t notice when I booked.

Too expensive for what you get. Rooms are too hot and bedrooms have single pane glass which means you can hear the very loud road that passes by the hotel. The rooms didn't feel very clean. But the staff were very friendly.

A little dated but in a nice area

Hotel is a little frayed around the edges (some mould in the bathroom grout, chipped furniture etc) but, otherwise, generally ok. It is in a perfect location if looking to attend an event at the university or west end more generally but, if not, there are nicer hotels closer to the city centre. Would I stay again? Yes, but only if I had a reason to like on this recent stay (to attend a university graduation) ceremony).

Our AirBNB reservations fell through & we were so happy to be able to stay in a comfortable hotel within steps of the Botanic Gardens. This location is actually closer to the art museums we want to see & near lots of cafes & restaurants on Byres.
