"Water park was closed and was put in the hotel across the street from the main building with everything in it."

"The staff was friendly. The breakfast was okay. Unfortunately it was the same every single day. 5 days of the same thing was rough. Some days bacon was very under cooked. My biggest complaint about the breakfast was the coffee. It was so watered down. For me this was disappointing but Starbucks was not a long drive. The kids had a blast overall the resort was well cared for and lots to do. I do feel there were not enough staff on the grounds outside to monitor the “unmonitored” older kids who were unsafe and making it difficult for the younger kids to navigate the slides and stairs. "

"I have driven by this lodge for 25 years. I finally decided to try it out since I needed a one night’s stat before a hike in the Smokies. I loved everything about it. Great staff - very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean. Loved the thick towels and comfy bed. Lots of hot water! Pool was nice. Loved that it was walkable to Gatlinburg restaurants and shops. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Gatlinburg!"
