"The host was welcoming and friendly that she led us to the chalet when we got lost. Everything was tidy and neat from bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen and the living room. The hob is easy to use and both the dishwasher and the washing machine were working well and clean. The heater and the boiler were functioning well which were important after experiencing bad weather outdoor. My family had a good time there, which was a good base to visit Scottish Highland and Isle of Skye."

"They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. "The Hen House was lovely!
It really was pretty, comfortable and finished to an incredibly high standard.
The estate is beautiful and we happened to stay during a midsummer fair, which was fantastic.
The hot tub was in dire need of a deep chemical clean. The tubes connected to the fire were leaking bits of dirt.
Also the check out time being 10am is quite early when it is self catering and you’ll also need to pack a car.
Overall I would highly reccomend a stay here.

"We had a wonderful stay in the Highlands and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.
Before arriving, we were slightly concerned that having the owner living next door might feel a little awkward or intrusive, but it was quite the opposite. The hostess was one of the kindest and most welcoming people we have met. She struck the perfect balance of being available if needed while completely respecting our privacy.

"Old-World Highland Charm in a Fantastic Location
The Royal Highland Hotel is superbly located literally steps from Inverness railway station, making it extremely convenient when travelling with luggage. The moment you enter, the magnificent staircase catches your attention, and the lobby has a cosy, old-world British charm that makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time.
Check-in was simple and our third-floor room was spacious and comfortable, with a sitting area, writing desk, TV and kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size, with excellent shower pressure and a lovely heated towel rail.
There is no refrigerator or apparent air-conditioning, although opening the window kept us comfortable. The old wooden floors also creak considerably. Our only maintenance issue was a slow-draining shower, which I mentioned at checkout.
The location is excellent not only for the station but also for exploring Inverness. Restaurants, shops, the River Ness and Inverness Castle area are all within an easy walk.
This is an older hotel, and that comes with a few quirks, but its history, character and location make it memorable. We would certainly consider staying again.
Rating: 7.5–8/10."
"What a great hotel! The whole staff team were fantastic- everyone was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The hotel is also particularly good for visitors with access needs - we stayed in an accessible room which was huge, the location is close to the train station & the bus station (for the sight seeing bus) as well as lots of restaurants and bars. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming up to Inverness."
"The hotel is located right by River Ness and is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend this hotel"
The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery
8/10 Good
"The rooms were ok, no plug points or USB options. We didnt have a uk plug but none in the reception to borrow. We were given really old type of rooms but I think there are better ones there. View was great from kids upper floor but our river view room ( premium paid) was nothing to write about. Breakfast was fine, again nothing to write about. Location is really good but could have booked elsewhere, lot of places near by. We got parking across the street for free but front desk didnt offer theirs"
