I usually like Homewood Suites but this one was rough for us. The beds are rock hard— some people like firmer beds, but we were hurting after just one night. The breakfast was the same thing both days which was a bummer. Normally I would like chorizo but it was almost like a chili, it was swimming in so much grease. The pool would have been nice except that the water was pretty dirty and the handrail to go from the splash pad/shallow end into the deeper water was broken. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it was nice for our dog to be someplace safe. The rooms themselves were clean. But if we come back for an overnight stay in Galveston, we will not stay here- the beds are the dealbreaker.

My Family of 5 stayed in a studio. Loved the space of the room as well as my kids. Only a few issues noticed when we arrived. Wet carpet under the ac unit was noticed immediately, wet socks gave that away. The room had two queen mattresses one was perfect, the second had a noticeable slump in the middle which made my back not so happy. Lastly, upon arrival my kids ran to the bathroom and quickly made me aware of the mysterious brown stain in the tub, so they refused to use the tub. I did bring it up to the front desk who were aware the stain as it happens regularly. They did send someone to clean the stain, but I hope they address the issue with a permanent solution.
