"Friendly staff - especially our cleaner, great evening entertainment, room was clean but looking a bit tired and in need of a light refurb. Pool area is great but I wish other guests respected the signs everywhere saying not to ‘claim’ sun loungers. Food selection is OK but generally not hot."

The premium upgrade is basically futile, you’re only entitled to a robe, a couple soft drinks in your fridge and the ability to reserve a spot in a slightly upgraded dining experience. Upon reflection I wish I didn’t upgrade. However my fiance had her birthday and when I disclosed it the staff put in an effort to make her feel special with complimentary cava and a birthday message. "Pool view room, sea view from bedroom window. A bit dated, could do with an upgrade. Nice walk into the old town, not too far. Only cleaned once weekly, terrace not cleaned. . Plenty of sun loungers, nice clean pools. "

"I stayed in a newly renovated Privilege Room, which had access to a private lounge and restaurant offering à la carte menus and breakfast options each day. This add-on was a nice touch and provided a quiet place to enjoy meals away from the busy buffet restaurant. I also liked the spa and the range of treatments. However, all the beaches surrounding the hotel (including the hotel beach at Playa Esmeralda) attract nudists. I found this to be very unpleasant."
