Very close the train station, bus station & only a short walk to the beach. The room was a good size & staff were friendly. The maids put an washing airer in my room once they knew u was washing my gym clothes which was lovely! Air con worked well & the beds were comfy. The rooms however need a small fridge, there isn't really room on the balcony to sit comfortably.

Good location. Hotel decor was a little tired. It said hair dryer on request but they didn’t have one when I asked on two occasions. Very disappointed and for that reason I wouldn’t stay again. Beds were comfortable

1 week october stay in Malaga area

We wanted an october stay in the Malaga area, so we could visit Gibraltar and Malaga City. And also spend lazy days at the beach. Hotel Agur was perfect for this. Situated in the center of Fuengirola, with everything next to it, train-station 200meters away, beach 500meters. Building looks a bit "timid" from outside but the reception is staffed 24 hours and very friendly personel. The room was clean and so where the bathroom. We enjoyed it and would stay there again :)

Great location, good value

Budget accommodation in a great location. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was terrific. The hotel is conveniently located for transportation and is walkable ti beaches, restaurants and shops. The building is older and could do with upgrading but it seems to be well maintained and is very good value for the price.

One night stay

We have stayed before in Feb 24 for one night b&b and it was nice with friendly staff and nice food offering various options . The hotel was clean and location an asset. For us being from England the room had a TV but no English channels which wasn’t an issue but feel you may get more English guests staying for longer periods if UK TV channels were available. The hotel was really nice and would happily stay ourselves for longer even without the UK channels as we managed to find a music station and the staff and hotel in general negate the TV channels for us

Excellent the guy on check in was great and really informative we arrived just before midnight after the firstt hotel appartment we booked was not answering and had issues with that. Definitely will use this hotel again and highly recommend. Thank you to the night porter for helpimg with a steady checkin process.

I have been a regular business guest at Hotel Agur for several years. Unfortunately I note that they have removed the peaceful, free, guest-only breakfast room, with is excellent coffee. They have replaced it with public cafe, both with internal and street access. For this change they lose a 'star' and future visits by me.

The place is nothing but quiet. I am not sure if it was my luck or this place is frequented by people whom have no regard for others. It seems there is no walls between rooms. I was disturbed by neighboring rooms that were fighting over the phone loudly till 2am or by another guest family who kids stayed up till 3am. I stayed at other hotels in the area and I had no issues.

Great budget hotel close to station and town!

Second stay at Hotel Agur visiting family in Fuengirola. Hotel is so convenient for the train and so close to centre of town. We booked on a budget and for that it’s a little rustic but it was clean, comfortable and convenient for what we wanted. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. They may well have even listened to my review last January about the unsafe hairdryer that I got during my last stay as this time around, I got a brand new one to use during my stay (with a small refundable deposit). The little cafe downstairs is still great value as well. My only gripe this time was the shower curtains are far too small. As a result, the high water pressure from our shower soaked the floor no matter how much we tried to prevent it, which in turn made the floor very slippery and even trickled into the bedroom as well. Apart from that, it’s a great little hotel.

Not a great experience this time around...

We have stayed at the Agur a couple of times and it was okay. Granted it is a budget hotel so for the price we paid, you don't expect luxury. The rooms are basic and we chose the hotel purely for convenience and budget when visiting family. This time round we had THE most uncomfortable room ever. It was roasting as the air con was blowing hot air. The bed was like a brick and we had to ask for pillows as they only provided 2 very thin ones. We couldn't open a window as we must have been near drains as there were mosquitos galore and we got bitten to pieces. The shower cubicle was rickety, extremely small and the head was hanging off the wall - if you turned around you knocked the tap to scalding or cold. And on NYE, my partner and I were stuck in the lift for 40 mins after the door slammed closed. The alarm btn in the lift did nothing and we had to phone a friend to alert reception. Even then, no apology was offered, more of a "it happens" shrug! I recommend if staying here, always go for a superior room, they aren't THAT superior, but they are tiny bit bigger and slightly more comfy. The standard room we had (Room 355) was just awful. If this hotel could get a few basic comforts sorted out (more pillows, better ventilation/beds, modernise the bathrooms a bit), it would be great for budget travellers. It's a pity as the staff are friendly and helpful and there's a nice cafe downstairs, but honestly had such an uncomfortable 3 nights here and I doubt we will stay here again.
