"This is a lovely hotel surrounded by nature and well located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. You can see the vessels in and out very close. Rooms are nice and spacious, breakfast is good. There is a TGI Fridays in the premises. Great experience."

"The Positives: The hotel is beautiful with a cute rooftop dining area and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. Location is perfect for walking around Casco Vijeo. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Negatives: The room I had was on the fourth floor with window facing the foyer, so you could here just about everything. Music lasted until 1130pm and started again at 7:30am so couldn't get a restful sleep. Room was clean but bed linen was stained and bath towels stained. If it had not been for the dirty linen and noise level, I would give 5 Stars."

"Beautiful hotel, the rooms are lovely the beds are so comfortable, in a great location and the staff were so kind and polite and helpful. The speakeasy is fabulous and so fun. The only thing was the food at the pool bar was not very good but the drinks were great, and the food and service at the roof top bar Ammi, not so great. Otherwise highly recommend staying at Sofitel in Casco Viejo! "

"the property has a lot of potential but left a sour taste in our mouth, I read many reviews but chose to ignore the negatives because of the great central location it was in. the only good thing about the property was the cleaning staff, they kept the place super clean and fixed our room including our personal items every morning. we stayed for 3 days and 2 out of those 2 days we woke up to no power or water, we were told there was an explosion but we were not accommodated with not even a bottle of water to wash our face or brush our teeth. we had to go to a store nearby and purchase a gallon of water. we spend the entire day out and came back late night and the power and water were back on. the following morning we woke up to no water again and the morning front desk agent spoke no english at this point it was our last day and we're were ready to go home. stay there at your own risk, the location is great if you want to be in casco viejo and walking distance to its nightlife the restaurant upstairs was also flop. "

"We could not enter the property with the code. Eventually the cleaning lady let us in and we left our bags there whilst she finished her job. We returned later and still could not enter with the code. The owners did not respond to the messaging. Finally we got in as other guests were leaving the building. The apartment was clean and the a/c was on. Then the owners messaged us that we could not stay there! We replied that we wanted to stay there. They said there was a maintenance issue. Not that we could see but they insisted we move to another building. It was in an undesirable area, We could not enter the apartment there either as there was not an operable keypad and it blocked us. I sent a video of this to the owners and said we were leaving and wanted a full refund. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable."

"Great hotel and perfect location for exploring. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and I appreciated the amenities like the courtyard and rooftop bar with 360 views of the city. Highly recommend!"
