"We chose the Bridge Hotel as a stopover on our way to the ferry at Scrabster. The hotel is in a lovely period building just opposite the old bridge/river.
We were greeted by a roaring real fire in the characterful entrance/lounge. It has a grand feel with lots of interesting cabinets /curios and prints on the walls.
Our 2nd floor room was spacious with good views to the hillside.
The was plenty of choice in the breakfast room next morning.
A perfect stopover..."
"Wonderful staff - could not have done more to help or be more friendly!
There was a good selection of food but I found it overpriced for what it was - mains start at £20. It's classic type food which was cooked well but not outstanding.
The room and bathroom were incredibly clean and well presented. The bed was slightly uncomfortable, though and I couldn't help but think that an investment in new mattresses would go a long way, especially for tired travellers after a long day!
Otherwise, this was a wonderful hotel in a great location if you're doing the NC500."
"Usual premier inn ...clean and everything U need ... Meals however let it down ...I had mixed grill for dinner steak was so tough couldn't eat it ..and breakfast was 'difficult' ... everything seemed to run out and took some time to be replenished... I'd certainly stay again ...just would eat there"
"The pod we stayed in was excellent, very well thought out and everything we needed was available, we were on a road trip from wiltshire, and the location was a perfect stop off before our last leg to John O'Groats, there is also an excellent beach nearby."
"We always have a great stay at the Park. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the staff are super helpful. The water pressure in the bedrooms is excellent and there is always plenty of hot water. Great parking and super convenient yet quiet location. Handy for town and for a quick departure south in the morning. It's not the prettiest building but don't let that put you off. I do miss the omelettes cooked to order in the morning, though."
