"Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but good selection and plenty of. Stayed in premium double room, which was clean but nothing was premium unfortunately. Flat pillows need throwing, bed you can feel the springs, furniture handles falling off when opening draws, shower towel rails broken, shower had no pressure just trickling out and running down the head. Furniture needs updating or fixing."

"Quiet room with plenty of space and comfy beds. Fabulous breakfast with lots of options for everyone. Apartment 2 in the basement was clean and spacious. Enough light for the purpose but no view at all. Easy access to the storefront and quiet evenings. Parking a little convoluted but possible. Both street and hotel ticketed parking available but self service."

"The outside of the property looks tired. Staff at the Marco Pierre White, although sufficient in number, were not attentive enough. Maybe more training needed."

"The hotel is in a good location, on the outside it looks a little run down, but inside is recently refurbished and stylish. The rooms are spacious with a lovely sea view, although rooms are not updated, it's decent and the wifi and tv has many good options. Check in and out is smooth so overall, excellent value 🙂"

"The hotel was lovely, superbly located, meters from Westgate. The problem was we were promised a room that would not overlook the parking lot. We came back 2 times, at 12:00 and 2:30, but they said the room was still not ready, that we had to wait till 3 o’clock. We had tickets to punt down the river at 3 so could not stay, but immediately upon finishing it returned to the hotel. To our surprise they then took us to a room that overlooked the parking lot! We asked to be changed and they took us to a tiny room that overlooked a small patio, that was right beside the communal terrace, so quite noisy. It was not what we had hoped for. Having said that, the room and bathroom were pretty and clean, the breakfast was good and the location superb."

"The breakfast was good. I only found out as I left that as I had paid for the breakfast I could have had a free choice from the breakfast menu. It was disappointing not to be told this by staff. The water in the bedroom fridge was not replenished during my stay which I thought was very poor. Only basic PG Tips and Green Tea in room . No Earl Grey. Poor in comparison to the range of coffee . I don’t drink coffee. The restaurant is lovely in the evening but service slow. "

"Having seen other reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to see that whilst the main areas of the hotel look a little outdated and in need of renovation, our room was clean and we were given a sea-view room. However, the toilet did not flush at all and the shower did not work; we only discovered this as we were getting ready for check out. There also appeared to be a potential asbestos risk with the flaking textured coating on the ceiling of the wardrobe with cracks in the ceiling and dust and debris on the shelf."
