"Have stayed here multiple times and this is my go to place to stay. The gentleman that runs it is excellent and takes good care of all his guests.. highly recommend "
"The hotel itself was even more amazing and beautiful than expected! When we drove up, we were all in awe!! We got the King Suite, above the office. There was a huge bedroom, huge bath with a barn door and a large stand-up shower, TWO balconies, a very large and open "living area" with ANOTHER bathroom (no shower)! The couch was a pull out, but we had to ask for extra pillows, sheets and comforter (no biggie). They are pet friendly! There's a small fridge, and I do wish that would have been...

Birthplace of W.C. Handy, the 'Father of the Blues,' offers a vibrant music scene and fascinating museum downtown. Stroll along the Tennessee River at McFarland Park, then explore Frank Lloyd Wright's Rosenbaum House with its striking mid-century design.
We went for the Rosenbaum House - a Frank Lloyd Wright design and the only one in alabama. Florence took great of us!!

Good
Weird street access to shopping and restaurants. Necessary to make U-turns and/or turn into a location to turn around. There is a great waterfall to the south of the damn.

Excellent
Nice small town downtown. We purposely make this a stop when driving south to stay in Destin FL. Great hospitality, music and food.

Florence is a really nice area. Not much of a nightlife besides the downtown area on certain nights. Florence seems to be a growing area

very charming. love the look of the town and would like to come back for a longer stay.
"Upon initial observation, I was skeptical about staying at this facility, because it was clearly an older property, and didn’t have the safety feature that I’m accustomed to. Such as, entrance into the hotel rooms or directly off the parking lot, as opposed to entering from an inside hallway.
However, after examining the room (prior to check-in!), and overall propertyarea, I decided it was OK to stay. Because, the room was extremely clean, clearly newly renovated - with contemporary furnishings, the bed was firm, comfy pillows, and had very crisp and freshly laundered linens throughout.
Breakfast selection was good, freshly prepared, with a variety of choices, and the dining room clean beyond compare!
I recommend the property, and will return next year during the WC Handy jazz festival! "
"The hotel staff, bellmen, hotel room was excellent. Check-in was very quick. The bellman was very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel. The hotel room was so comfortable and the balcony view overlooking TVA and Florence landscape was very nice.Very clean. I wanted to add an extra night but there was a huge group arriving and that wasn’t possible, which is understandable. I will def stay here again. "
"Staff was super friendly and property was clean. Sofa was stained and worn but overall room was nice. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical of most hotels but fresh and delicious. Will he staying again in the future. "
