"The staff were very good and attentive.A really good thing would be if the attentiveness could be carried onto keeping the bar surface and tables wiped clean more often and the dining room floor needs brushing up and cleaning on a more regular basis.I put this sort of downfall into managers needing to be more vigilant and to up their game.Overall it was a good stay lovely clean well appointed room but that cleanliness does not transfer to the bar and dining room areas."
"large room and shower room, large bed, clean. lovely view over Richmond. However, shower room tired and needs refurb, the view is marred by old bits of wood and rubbish on the path outside the window. The surrounding gardens and access path need clearing of discarded equipment, and general rubbish. "

"We stayed here for 2 nights when we attended a wedding. Great location with access to shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean with good bathroooms and comfy beds. Breakast was included and it was tasty and fresh. We are vegan and it is the best hotel breakfast we have had. But the thing that elevates it is the staff. So helpful, attentive, and friendly. "I attended a race meeting at Croft circuit. Booked one night in Holiday Inn. About 15mins from the track. It's right on the A1(M) at Scotch Corner.
Room was smallish, but reasonable price. Bath has wall shower and handheld. No separate shower. Shampoo etc. provided.
The bar is ok, although not so cosy. Shuts at 11pm sharp.
Village nearby has a pub. You'll find it if you fancy eating out."
"Fantastic food in this lovely old pub. Really enjoyed my stay and was really impressed with the food. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The chips were outstanding! I will definitely be back when im next in the area. "
