Wyndham San Diego Bayside

6/10 Okay

"The hotel is located at a prime location with wonderful bay view but everything inside the hotel feels dirty, certainly not a 4-5 stars hotel like I have requested on the Expedia web site. The staff at least was understanding and nice enough to move us to another building with better layout and bed. We really loved the location and the bayside view but without this, we may not have considered the hotel at all since it is not well maintained inside, you could see pile of dust in certain areas, i.e. that must not have been cleaned for years. I have yet to verify the charges as it seems higher than what we booked for. Sally restaurant in the area had such an attitude, made you wait for long time at the entrance, then a white lady came forward and said this is for breakfast buffet and no other menu offered, then she checked me out from head to toe with a question in her eyes "can you really afford this?", that was not a good start for a morning. Oh by the way, the lady and another white guy saw my mom waiting in her wheelchair at the stairs, yet still offered no accessible way for her to enter the restaurant. We left the restaurant and decided not to tolerate any of these attitude during a short weekend getaway. I also chose not to send a complaint letter to the restaurant’s management or hotel; I don’t want to jeopardize anyone’s job."

Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle

6/10 Okay

"First of all the rooms are extremely humid so if you have any expensive leather, I wouldn’t put it in the room or electronics. We had to keep those in the car. The humidity would’ve ruined our things. The location was a bit dicey as well. I would’ve stayed on hotel Circle N. Not Hotel Circle S. The staff were pretty nice."

"Table in room was wobbly (had to be careful not to spill my drink on myself when at the table), phone in room was not working (in case I needed to reach out to office personnel), remote to A/C unit did not work (mo battery cover..tape used to hold batteries in place), no microwave or coffee maker in room, no complimentary toiletries provided (only 2 sm bottles of shampoo…no conditioner or body wash), Images on website are misleading…did not feel safe at this establishment."
