"The property was good. The view of the Alamo was blocked, not as viewable as we expected. The fees and residuals were NEVER told up front. I paid for my room, then got to hotel and they charged us $172 for residuals which were NEVER mentioned. Using their parking garage without valet was supposed to be $55 a night. For 2 nights it cost $160 which wasn't explained with all fees, destination fees, so $80 a night was ridiculous when you're told $55 a night. Didn't get a receipt for my stay when asked so I could see what the $172 was charged for after paying for my room online. Two nights with room & parking was like $850, when I was expecting like $625-$650. So even though it was clean, nice staff, there were too many fees not explained and didn't give me a receipt but for parking. So for me, that ruined my stay on my Anniversary. Denise Soldevila"

"Room was clean it does have that old building smell but it is expected. Staff is super nice and helpful, beds and pillows are super comfortable, and plus they ave great breakfast and evening snack (or dinner if you don't eat that much). Will definitely stay here again."

"They were doing some construction, so a few loud sounds, but don’t let that deter you. This place is one of the best on the riverwalk. Great views, awesome food, big rooms and comfortable bed. Staff is amazing - helpful and friendly! You won’t be disappointed."

"Theeeee best hotel for airport coming and going. Camille makes one feel right at home and at ease .. highly skilled in people interactions. Drury Supervisor ( I didn’t get his name) was also very relatable and was willingly to get into serving patrons at bar to alleviate the long wait. The shuttle drivers Juan & morning driver were also very personable .. Other staff at the desk were professional and accommodating and did a satisfactory job in being personable."
