"Plenty parking and easy to find. Initial receptionist appeared a little uninterested upon arrival but all other staff were courteous, friendly, helpful. Breakfast is limited but does state “on the go” and matches perfectly; plenty of places nearby on the 190 to get a proper breakfast if wanted (especially the waffle house next door). Building is fine although a little dated in places but absolutely fine and comfortable "

"This was by far the worse stay I HAVE EVER HAD. Below are some of my issues. These after spending most of the day helping my daughter move out of her college apartment. Got to hotel late that evening around 10 pm. Checked in and went to the room. Disinfected like normal. Turned pillow over to spray and a bug is crawling on the back of the pillow. Went to front desk complained. And was given another horrible room. First the ac unit was unusually loud and made a knocking sound. Second, flying insects in bathroom. Not mosquitoes but small insects (2) that look like a microscopic bat. Didn't report because afraid would be given an even worse room. This place is not worth staying. Run Run Run. If we were not sooo tired, we would have definitely gone somewhere else. Of course we slept with one eye open. Out of there first thing in the morning. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!!"

"I use this particular facility as a pitstop to break up a very long drive. I am never disappointed. It’s very clean, beds are very comfortable and you have all the conveniences at home."

"The Southern Hotel is a marvelous place to spend your time while traveling. It is a beautiful property which is well maintained and a staff that is friendly and efficient. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The restaurant and bar are very worth a visit with good atmosphere and very friendly staff. I recommend the Southern Hotel very highly."

"Had a late arrival, they put us in a first floor room by the front office, Room was clean, quiet, and bed comfortable. Hot breakfast was good, lots of fresh fruit. Only issue we had was finding the place, should have paid closer attention to the GPS."
