"I had a superior king room with a sea view. The room was nicely decorated and was clean and quite spacious and had a decent size TV. The shower was adequate but not of a superior standard. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep - which is the main thing."

"Poor Golf Experience. We arrived at 530pm with the hope that we could have a drink at the golf clubhouse, only to be told the bar was closed and the staff were looking to kick out the current guests. Considering golfers were still on course, not what you would expect. The hotel was dated and only seemed to be interested in the health club side, where members were walking in and out of the restaurant area. No real bar, no atmosphere and morale of staff very low due to poor management. We waited 50 mins for food to be served so decided against further desserts and drinks. Not what you would expect from a golf focussed and promoted venue. Will not be returning."

"We had a super room, with a lovely balcony and view. Staff at reception was super and friendly, as were the housekeeping staff. The restaurant staff were a little off the mark - a long wait for tea and coffee with breakfast in the morning; a little confusion over what we could/couldn’t have to eat when we sat in the bar late afternoon , but otherwise a perfect stay."

"Yes to both questions. Though a busy Saturday afternoon mean there was only one parking space when I arrived available because someone was just leaving!"

"Classic old school hotel, presentable but decor from a different era. Very clean. Gardens are stunning. Good location for seafront - about a 5 min walk. Good facilities. Very limited food options, but that might be because we stayed in March. We were very grateful for the room upgrade that we received - they didn't have to do that. "

"Lovely stay at the Ashcourt Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was great, beautiful views of the sea, and a short walk from the esplanade and all the amenities in the town. There is limited free parking outside the hotel and in the street, even though our stay was early in the season spaces were hard to find. The full English breakfast was excellent, however the restaurant was not open in the evening during our stay. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel."

"Lovely place, just out of the town centre. Craig was really welcoming on arrival. I stayed in the Oak room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had a nice big bathroom area with a rainfall walk in shower. Free parking was off the road in front of the building. I couldn't ask for more. Perfect for the weekend away."
