"Ideally situated for sightseeing. Room was large, well maintained and comfortable. The breakfast and evening meal choices were good and catered to vegetarian and meat lovers. Staff were efficient and friendly."

"Stayed at the Miners Inn 2 nights over Bank Holiday August. Was lovely to see it so busy on the Sunday we arrived as was a festival on in the village. Overall location excellent for village and exploring Hope Valley and beyond. Only slight niggles hotel is in need of some TLC re decorating damp patches but it is an old hotel. Breakfast was ok not great black pudding rock hard. Sausages were bit bland. Had just poached eggs next day. Also pub shuts early so couldn't stay up to play cards. Not ideal 10pm close. Staff all lovely and helpful. Overall enjoyable stay."

"We've stayed at the Bike and Boot on many occasions and this stay did not disappoint. The hotel and location is perfect for a stay in the national park and the staff go ut of their way to make your stay enjoyable."

"Bar and restaurant are very nice with friendly staff. The room was quite small and the furniture was a little tired. The bedding had some staining and there was a little water damage on the cushions on the bed where rain had come in through the skylight"

Room was a little small but well appointed, with tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, heater/ fan and hair drier. Bed comfortable. 1k from the centre of Hathersage, lots of parking for residents and bus stops outside."

"If you need a couple of nights away in the Peak District, The Blind Bull is a great getaway. Most of the rooms are in a building a mere 25 paces from the door of the bar! For dog owners choose one of the ‘pig’ rooms as there is a little gravel garden. The owners have thoughtfully provided a little bin outside for any bags. We ate both nights at the pub and you can see why the place is highly rated. It is so much more than ‘pub’ food. A lovely crafted menu and a great wine list. Breakfast is excellent with quality over quantity. Top tip is to make a booking for a table as the place gets really busy. All the staff we came across were polite friendly and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Brooke, Jane Bond and David the manager."
