"The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A few things affect my overall rating which include no where to make a hot drink or store cold food. I appreciate it’s a ‘budget’ hotel, but a coffee machine or kettle and a small fridge would make a big difference. I must also say, the toilet paper really isn’t of good or even average quality. Think bible paper… The above are only minor criticisms and they would not affect me staying again in the future."

"I was impressed by this hotel. Although it is a budget hotel, it was clean yet functional. My room had air con and was enough for a weekend break in Bordeaux. The reception staff were very helpful and polite. Although I am not French, I tried and began my interactions with a 'Bonjour' and a few rudimentary schoolboy French phrases, such as 'Je voudrais...', and the conversation developed as they quickly discovered that I was English and I got the answers I required. The breakfast was basic yet great for a budget hotel. The surrounding area was quite quiet and the supermarket adjacent was an unexpected bonus. There is a tram stop a short distance away for access to the city centre. Alternatively a 25 to 30 minute stroll across the nearby bridge will get you there as well. Bordeaux is a beautiful and clean city, with plenty to do (Get Your Guide has plenty of wine/vinyard related content) and see."
