"Called ahead to say we’d arrive around midnight — was told, ‘no problem, reception’s open!’ Spoiler: it wasn’t. We arrived to an empty hotel, no one answering the phone, and spent an hour outside like two lost ghosts with luggage. Ended up finding another place for the night. "I was more than two weeks in this amazing pousada pouso abare. The location is very central close to the beach and everything what you need (Restaurants, shops, supermarket ...). "I absolutely love this place. You feel immersed in the rain forest. There are many birds and wild life. The rooms are nice and clean. Heating rack is a great plus for drying out your clothes as it's very humid in Ubatuba. On top of that they are a sustainable guesthouse!! I loved the concept, the care about the environment and the amenities. There is 2 jacuzzis for chill days - not the cleanest if the place is full, but decent. We had two full raining days but it felt super nice there - they have hammocks outside of the rooms what allows you to relax even if you cannot go to the beach. Breakfast is GREAT! With tapioca offered every morning. The internet is a bit funky but nothing that disturbed our relaxing time."

"Simple guesthouse with easy access to the beach. I stayed in the chalet with two other people, and it had all the necessary utensils for preparing small meals. The pool was clean, and the guesthouse offers a simple breakfast. The place is not luxurious , it’s rustic, but the owners, Fabiana and Lucas, are extremely attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. I would say it’s the perfect place for travelers who plan to explore the region and use the guesthouse mainly as a comfortable base. I traveled with an elderly person, and since the chalet had stairs, Fabiana kindly offered an extra room for my mother at no additional cost, which I thought was a very thoughtful gesture. As a suggestion for improvement, I would recommend providing towel changes for guests staying more than two nights, as the towels did not dry properly. Some improvements in maintenance and cleaning would easily make the place a 5-star stay. Overall, it was a good experience for anyone looking for a relaxed, simple place with freedom and without unnecessary fuss."
