"Great location to the harbour, food, bars and shopping. My children loved the bunk beds, toy whales and the view of the harbour. I wish we stayed longer to explore this pretty town!"

"Wonderful stay - so comfortable and welcoming and in a great location (we came by train). Would definitely return as we loved the city as much as the hotel. "

"The staff was wonderful and breakfast was superb. From french toast, croissant, eggs etc to sashimi, ice cream, pudding. Delicious.
The room was clean, comfortable bed. Had a mini fridge, safe, and amenities.
Would stay again!!"
"Really fantastic location - directly opposite Hakodate Station (you can literally see it from the station) and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The ramen place next door (Shinano) has excellent Hakodate shio ramen but be warned, they sell out quickly so be ready to line up just before opening hours.
Very clean rooms and decently spacious by Japanese standards. The cleaning crew were excellent and really took care to make sure the place was spotless.
Great amenities - the hotel provides pyjamas which they change for you every night, and there is a section at reception for further amenities that aren't in your room (e.g. razors, tea bags). Washing machines are available on the ground floor for ¥600 per use (includes soap).
Just be warned for anyone with accessibility issues, that the bathroom is elevated above the room level and can be a trip hazard when trying to come back out. You also have to climb into the bathtub to shower.

"It was an old hotel but clean. We even have a big window with the view. Steps away from the stations, the morning market and lots of stores and dining around. We will stay here again. "
"I only stayed two nights to see what Hakodate has to offer, it did not disappoint. On the first night I left my itinerary at the reception and tried to call the front desk in bad Japanese (I didn't know how to say itinerary in Japanese), but luckily they kept it to one side for me which was very kind of them.
The hotel is very convenient, 5 minute walk to the sushi restaurants and the train station, and 7 minute walk to the morning market in Hakodate, which is a definite must if you are going to Hakodate for the first time.
The hotel provides a free breakfast which is nice, but didn't overeat due to keeping my appetite for the morning market, but I really liked the milk yoghurt drink that they provided, and I never drunk anything else like it in my trip to Japan.
The hotel staff were very nice and supportive as well, a bit sad to say goodbye to them.
