Nice location, great for family travel

Nice big rooms, can fit 3 suit cases. The location is excellent, directly opposite to Hakodate station and next to the morning market. The bed and pillows are super comfy. Breakfast is small but with good selection.

This hotel is conveniently located right next to the JR Hakodate Station, which makes it an easy find. For breakfast, it provides a wide variety of local food which tasted delicious, such as the fresh seafood don and salt Ramen live station, and not forgetting the sparkling wine, red and white wine bar at the entrance. Room is of decent size and check in process is smooth. This hotel also comes with a laundrymat services, though it does not have an onsite onsen. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at the hotel.

Great value stay in Hakodate

The hotel is in an excellent location, being opposite JR Hakodate station and the famous seafood markets. Even though we were staying in winter, the hotel was nice and cozy and the staff were excellent. Rooms are well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay

very convenient location. nice service in general. stayed 3 nights, last night was a Sunday and the room cleaning was quite sloppy, leaving things around without tidying up, like leaving the hair dryers on the bedside table and didn't put away used towels. also didn't clean or put glasses back to where they beling.

I visited Hakodate for workation. I stayed total 7 nights in this hotel. Room was very clean and there was a small table which was suitable for working. While I was staying, there was an accident with a finger jam in the process of opening and closing the hotel room window to ventilate the room air. Therefore, I went to the local hospital. When I asked to the hotel manager if there is compensation insurance for the accident, he supported it very quickly. I received good impression the way hotel manager was providing professional and warm service to me. Both front desk and room cleaning staffs are also very kind. I want to revisit this hotel next time.

I didn’t use their breakfast buffet as the hotel was right next to the morning fish market. Updating to the experience of having to pay extra for “pay on the spot”. They had no room on Expedia at the time I booked so I chose single room option (12800yen). Few days prior to my arrival Expedia showed twin room option at 14716yen so when I checked in I was confident that I’ll have a room. For some reason they charged me 12500yen to upgrade to twin room (total amount 25300yen, instead of 14716yen) I paid as I was asked but thought it was bizarre and negotiated. They admitted their fault and changed my upgrade fee to 8,800yen. So, in total I paid 21300yen for what was advertised as 14716yen. Once again, I’ll repeat, don’t choose “pay on the spot” option or ask for an upgrade. I’d rather gone out for a nice meal… Thank you Mr Umezawa for trying to modify things but I’d rather share my honest experience. Hotel is clean, convenient and staff were kind. However if I had an option to come to Hakodate again, I’ll chose a different place to stay.
