"We celebrated my wife’s birthday for the fourth year in row at The Umstead. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and treated us so well. My wife felt so special and the spa was perfect. I can’t recommend The Umstead enough."

"The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the beautiful fragrance. If they had that in a bottle I would have bought some! The staff was friendly and helpful. I was feeling a bit sick at my stomach from all the travel and they had some Tums for sale! Score! Comfortable bed, spotless room. I felt the price was reasonable, except for the parking garage across the street. Would stay again."
