"Completely adequate hotel. The beds aren’t amazing. The part where people naturally sit is permanently indented and the sheets don’t stay on, but that’s not terrible. The elevator is also creepy and dirty. Paneling coming off. But I didn’t feel unsafe, just ick.
The primary reason for four stars was a poorly handled misunderstanding with the night worker. Being correct isn’t a good reason for being snotty. I suspect the problem was one they deal with often, but it was the first time I’ve ever experienced it and rather than be polite and respectful, he went straight to rude. I know it’s a frustrating situation, but there is no reason not to try to be patient and explain things instead of showing your agitation when someone comes off a 12 hour drive and is arriving at 1am. You’re sitting watching tv and being paid. Just trying remembering your manners and turn on the attitude if manners don’t work first. The problem was mostly Expedia.s fault but blame is shared by the hotel for not adding the extra term and condition to the booking info which would have avoided the entire situation rather than expecting me to read your minds. Just chill. It didn’t need to be like that.
