"If you have an early morning flight from LCY and you reside quite far from the city then your cheap and best bet would be staying at this Ibis budget hotel for the night in barking since it’s located right on the motorway which takes hardly 12-15 minutes to reach the airport and the rooms are also clean and spacious enough to spend a night or two with pretty good and courteous staff and the best thing is the Tesco superstore right next to the hotel which is open till 12am on weekdays."
"All good, pleasant and helpful staff, decent breakfast, room and common areas all well cleaned. Great for transport links, Excellent value.
Only gripe was an extremely hot room - set right in the roof of the property with fairly limited ventilation and headroom. Difficult to complain as I had been ungraded to this room when travelling alone prior to my family joining me the following day for a long weekend break. It was also an uncommonly hot period in a heatwave. But maybe ask not to be put in a roof room on a hot day."
"Sink was blocked and had a slow drain. Informed staff, but no maintenance was available over weekend. They did offer to change room. Room had a moldy smell. A/C was not adequate in cooling room sufficiently, it was end of July 2026 in London, the temperatures were high. Car park onsite was excellent, although pricey. Staff were friendly. Gym was small and also had a moldy smell."
"The rooms were truly remarkable, offering ample space and pristine cleanliness. However, what truly left a lasting impression was the generous assortment and diversity of products provided. The selection included tea, water, snacks, cereal, and even shower gel. Despite having experienced seven-star accommodations, I have never encountered such a welcoming package."
