"Our host Hermein was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was everything you could have wanted. I had the fruit with granola and yogurt. Followed by loads of toast and a cooked breakfast with the tastiest smoked bacon I’ve ever tasted. She organised a free taxi to and from a lovely local restaurant on the evening of our arrival. We left the next morning for the short drive to the caves, the wildlife sanctuary and the ostrich...

De Zeekoe Guest Farm

10/10 Excellent

"Such a cool place to stay. Relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. A real treat!"

Gumtree Guest House

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guesthouse! From the beautifully maintained gardens to the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, everything was just perfect. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious freshly baked bread and freshly squeezed orange juice. The owner is always available and takes great pride in every detail, ensuring that guests feel welcome and well cared for. Their hands-on approach and attention to detail truly make a difference. We can highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!"

Old Mill Lodge, Working Ostrich Farm & Restaurant, Oudtshoorn

8/10 Good

"Beautifully kept grounds. The Glamping tent was a perfect balance of camping with the “luxuries “ of staying in a hotel room like a/c , a bath tub and tv although it was only a couple if channels and the wifi was spotty at best. But you are camping in between mountains after all! Staff is helpful and friendly even though we had a problem connecting through the expedia platform they were very accommodating. My tent room was clean and well stocked with coffee, tea, cream and sugar as well as a room spray, soap and insect repellent. Animals are a very nice experience , especially for the younger ones. Lots of activities or spots to relax at. Minutes to the Cango Caves and other local attractions and activities. Would recommend!"

88 Baron van Reede Guesthouse

10/10 Excellent

"We found a gem! Lovely couple running a beautiful, super clean and stylish guest house. Safe parking, close to excellent restaurants within walking distance. Do not miss their breakfast. Will definitely book again. Thank you Christo and Magda, we had a wonderful stay at your place."

Mooiplaas Guesthouse

10/10 Excellent

"Andre is a phenomenal manager, and Mooiplaas is our favourite place to stay in Oudtshoorn. All staff are helpful, kind and caring, brilliantly clean and beautiful rooms, highly recommended. Be sure to engage the astrologer Ben if the night sky is clear! Amazing, 5 stars! The Barkers will be back :)"

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Buffelsdrift is an absolute gem. We loved every moment of our stay and wish we could have enjoyed it for a bit longer. The 5 star service - from reception, restaurant (food and service), turn down service and check out - was excellent. We will be making another reservation very soon! Thank you!!"

Riverside Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"From the welcome we received to the farewell the level of personal service we received from the owners Albert and Elsa were unparalleled. Very tastefully decorated, spotless and in a beautiful location overlooking the river. We only stayed one night but will definitely return and stay longer. Loved our stay."

Le Petit Karoo

10/10 Excellent

"Wish we could’ve stayed longer! A unique experience staying in a converted shepherds hut, now the honeymoon suite- beautifully converted with plunge pool & the most stunning 360 degree views- also from the shower! So peaceful & tranquil,The owners of Le Petit Karoo really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Beautiful dinner. Amazing value for money & would 100% recommend. Thanks Tracy & Karen, hope to see you again."
