The gentleman was a one man show, he checked us In. Gave free water and chocolates. Extremely friendly. Room was clean and looked like in was being slowly remodeled. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was clean. We were there for a local event. Didn’t need anything special. Will be staying again. As mentioned above gentleman was also the one cleaning ALL the rooms as we left the next morning.
The Staff at check-in was professional, quick yet organized. They were completely receptive to any questions concerning the best places to eat, shop, etc.
The room was clean and well taken care of. A few broken and lose tiles by the sink area. Air Conditioning worked well and was quiet. Definitely a great place to stay. Quiet and secure. Lots of pillow too :)
Check in was quick and easy me and my dog were welcomed and got our room very quick in room coffee fridge and microwave didn't need the microwave but everything else was awesome
Great value for the type of stay. I just wanted a clean comfortable stay as I was on a long trip. I
Had a small dog and they were very gracious about it.

I was in the Duncannon area for business and needed a place to stay overnight. I found the Red Carpet Inn to be very nice. My room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Check in was quick and super friendly staff! They gave us water bottles upon arrival! The area around the place is run down and the building is older and could use some updating. The room was clean, smelled decent and no bed bug issues! The amenities were awesome, it included a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker! We only stayed one night for a quick trip into the area but would definitely stay again if we needed to! Ask for a room on the back side of the building the place is on a main road and we couldn’t hear any traffic back there!
The attendant at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. He answered my questions about places to visit nearby. He put me in a better room when I was not satisfied with the allotted room. He even came to my room to fix the TV.
Had my doubts when we first arrived because the exterior was not that great. However we were pleasantly surprised because the room, altho older, was very clean and spacious. The motel is next to a noisy highway but didn’t bother us. Would stay here again.
The owners were absolutely marvelous made special accommodations for my stay offered clean towels offered clean towels every day .. I traveled with a partner but I will return next week by myself I think it's a wonderful place My only bad thing to say would be that the trucks are loud on the interstate all night that the trucks are loud on the interstate all night

Our room was clean, but shabby. There was no mirror over the sink, capped wires where the light over the sink should have been, no hand towels, and bath towels were thin and dingy. That being said, the bed was very comfortable. There are not many hotels/motels in the area so we would probably stay there again if necessary.
This is a great value motel in the area of Duncannon/New Buffalo which I have been using for years. Owners are making an effort to improve the property and rooms, and it shows. The location is great for a PA Route 15 stay in the area. Fast food, a couple restaurants, hardware store are close by. Just wish they had an ice machine :-). No coffee machines in the room but microwave and fridge are there.
I've been staying here for years of and on while fishing. It remains a reasonably price hotel with no frills. They have made welcome improvements over time. Drop ceilings are gone, recessed lighting for over bed and main area are very nice change (no more fluorescent overheads). Wish they would have an ice machine available. Otherwise a good value for what I need while fishing. The location is close to gas, a couple restaurants, and hardware store.
this place seemed ok with alright reviews. we were in the area for a concert and and we got a room here and we dropprd our bags off and left to go to the concert. we got back around 1 in the morning and we finally got to bed around 2. we werent in the bed 10 min when we found movement on the blankets. turned the light on an found a bed bug. they offered a new room but wouldnt offer a refund and i just couldnt continue staying there.

Very musty rooms
We were really happy with the property at first! Friendly check in, a nice field across from our motel room for the dogs, and super clean room. Even the inside of the microwave was spotless. But then the smell set in.
It is Musty in there. To the point of being noxious and causing coughing overnight. It’s a shame because the actual motel is decent, especially for the price, but it needs an overhaul starting with the clearly mildewed carpet.

The Red Carpet Inn in Duncannon is staffed with an exceptionally attentive employee. We were greeted warmly and were offered a room temperature bottle of water during our fast and easy check-in. Our room was mid and smelled moldy, like old cigarette smoke. The door frame molding was in disrepair, appearing as though it was kicked off the hinges and didn't quite lock properly. The bathtub had cigarette burns along the edge, and the toilet ran incessantly until we lifted the back off to adjust the chain. The shower had a sheer white Bates Motel curtain. The towels were threadbare (thread count approximately 3.5) and coarse but smelled clean. There was a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a small coffee pot with typical hotel coffee and condiments, and the TV was Directv with all the channels. If you're okay with TRULY experiential experiences and can just truly be in the moment, this is the inn for you. Even as shabby as it was, we still had a blast and will definitely go back.
