Loch Melfort Hotel

"We stayed here for a week, our second visit. The room was as good as before although the bed is a bit soft for us, and apart from that it was very comfortable. The hotel has a position which gives the most perfect view over the loch and the paddocks with the local Highland cows with their goat friends. The staff are excellent and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Food is about as good as you can get with a decent choice. We would highly recommend staying here, and we will book again for next year."

"The staff was great. They offered lots of helpful information about the area. One of the ladies yelled at my husband because he mispronounced Oban, and I love her for that! This place is great, a convenient location, and really quiet. I like places like this that are just a little bit off the main route because they're not in the hustle and bustle, but close enough to it. They recommended some great places to eat, as well."

"We had room 109 and it looked out over the water and the lively street but was very quiet. The shower was amazing as were the products. The coffee and tea and snacks were delicious. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark! We didn’t get to explore the hotel at all since we were just there overnight but we would gladly stay there again if we are lucky enuf to return to Oban. What a great little town and a great hotel experience!"

"Clean and cosy room with tea/coffee making facilities and ensuite. We were on the second floor accessed by spiral stairwell. Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was across the road from accommodation in the tearoom. We had a delicious cooked breakfast. Continental breakfast also available. Highly recommended"

"I was all fabulous, we loved it. Only a couple of gripes, the hairdryers are not great as you have to keep you thumb on a button to keep it going and they didn’t see to have any decaf facilities for tea. Everything else great, thankyou."
