The room was very spacious, we had booked 2 standard rooms. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. They kindly arranged a last minute taxi for us which took us to the Marina in good time, which was much appreciated. Special mention to Darwish who made our stay exceptional - he is truly a kind hearted person.

Pros: Sea room view was lovely. Shuttle Bus to Dubai (as there is not much to do outside of the hotel/in the area). Breakfast - good variety. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful - all staff. Cons: Location - not much to do around the area, outside of the hotel. Shuttle Bus to Dubai - does not carry many people and gets booked very quickly - people also do not show up despite booking slots. No early check in - but you can stay in the hotel lounge. The hotel price was expensive for what you actually get. Dubai traffic is horrific - be prepared to sit in traffic for a few hours if using the shuttle bus.

Where to begin? This property is amazing. The entrance is grand and the concierge was welcoming and friendly. Julia was very helpful and found us the perfect suite for our family of 6 and the view was INCREDIBLE (room 327 and 328). The breakfast was also amazing, the three cakes especially were phenomenal. The staff during breakfast was also very meticulous and ready to help even during peak times. The beach was also amazing. I would definitely be coming back and I definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in Ajman. This is the jewel of Ajman for sure.

My first Fairmont stay. Not to be repeated. Once a very nice hotel, but now totally outclassed by its peers. Staff were uninterested. The hotel was 5 star, the service more 2-3 star. Eg room cleaning, repeatedly requested 4 times, sockets not working, hairdryer and safe remained unfixed. Maintenance issues were also experienced by neighbouring rooms- we queued at the same time at front desk Loose dangerous paving slabs by the pool- “it’s fine, nothing wrong”, no action until someone is injured. Clearly there is some of management psychodrama playing out with the staff who just don’t care and seem to have given up being interested. Food was quite basic so we only ate breakfast there. On the first day they tried to charge us for buffet breakfast despite being “free”. On the last day we were too early as leaving. So they gave us some miserable cornflakes with tiny cartons of long life milk. We had to actually chase 3 times for this the day before. I seriously wasn’t expecting such poor service in a 5 star hotel!!! Ajman’s a relaxing place with decent local restaurants to experience Dubai food. To stay however, I would recommend the Ajman Saray - it’s a Marriott and properly 5 star. The restaurants were better, the service was frankly amazing, with staff really going the extra mile to make you feel welcomed rather than an inconvenient afterthought at the Fairmont.
