"Beautifull buiding and welcoming staff. This hotel has had a chequered recent history but is well on its way to becoming a first class venue again. Excellent."

"A lovely hotel with great facilities. The twin room was huge with plenty of space and really comfy beds! Good value breakfast with lots of options. We also used the pool which was an added bonus. Although mostly adults seemed to be staying in the hotel, my 3 year old was made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be back! "

"The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from Bolton town centre in a quiet location next to a church.
The rooms are next to the pub and restaurant, which can be accessed by an entrance out back. If you prefer to come and go without going through the pub, you are given a key to a side entrance.
My room was clean and spacious and the bed large and comfy. The bathroom was modern and clean.
The restaurant has a good menu. I didn’t have time for breakfast, but it looked and smelled very...

"Interior is very tatty and cheaply done. The plug in the bath didn't work all floors were peeling and lifting even in the bathroom and overall everything looked old and grubby. Very pleased we only stayed for one night"

10/10 Excellent
"First time staying at this hotel. We booked for an anniversary weekend for 3 nights. Staff are so friendly and courteous, from reception to the bar and the spa area.
The foyer as you walk in is so beautiful, with the hanging lights and grandeur. It’s kept very clean and tidy every day. There’s a bar area up the steps from foyer where you’ll find comfy sofas and big chairs to lounge in, this was such a nice area to sit and have pre-drinks before heading to the restaurant for evening meal.
During the day you can sit with a good book and enjoy the comings and goings of the hotel. There is soft music playing all the time which just adds to the ambience. We had such a lovely relaxing break.
Spa
We booked the couples day at the spa which included massage, Thermal spa experience and afternoon tea - this was sublime. Definitely recommend doing this if you can. Afternoon tea, especially, was a lovely treat and so tasty.
Special thanks to Beth, on spa reception who went above and beyond for us during our time at the spa. There were a few hiccups but all dealt with promptly and professionally.
The rooms
We booked a superior room, was really lovely with the addition of small table and armchair to the side of the bed.
Overall, we had such a lovely few days and big thanks to all the members of staff who served with a smile and made us feel very comfortable.
Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing stay with spa and treatments.
Thank you
