"We loved our stay here! Clean and had a great sleep. Brilliant price for somewhere to stay close to York. Carpark was a little full and some bad parking meant it was a space down, but not the owners fault. Highly recommend for an affordable cute little getaway! Would definitely return"

"We stayed in York at the Indigo for two nights, the room was clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
Parking was easy to access and nearby.
Location wise the hotel is very close to everything albeit in a town where everything is within an easy 10-15 minute walk max."
"This hotel is excellent. A 3 minute walk into the centre of York’s shopping area. Rooms very clean and a terrific breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again."
"The room was clean, however the bed was rock hard, the pillows were flat, the shower had low pressure and was very slow. However, the main issue during our stay were the functions held on both nights. We were in a room directly below the toilets of the function room. It was very noisy with the constant noise of the toilet flushing, loud noise from heels clonking on the wooden toilet floor and doors banging. Then at the end of the night people walking down the stair and singing/talking loudly outside our room.
I would suggest people from the function should be placed in rooms near the function hall. I was extemely dissapointed that this was not the case and as we were up early making the most of of our 2 days stay with a packed itinery; being kept awake by the functions impacted the enjoyment of our break in Yorkshire."
"2rd stay at this hotel. Refused upgrade said not available. Had to argue for a 1 1/2 hour late checkout we did get a one hour late( why not give the extra 1/2 hour we asked for. No free parking mentioned. We never ate at this hotel
too expensive. The bar is small and difficult to
find a seat except spillover in hall. Bar staff were
very nice but to busy to talk and drinks were
crazy expensive. The bathroom sink only produced scalding hot water or cold.😡
For a five star we expected better service"
"Been there numerous times so familiar surroundings. There no seating outside which puzzles me, no benches, no seating nothing, such a shame as it was a beautiful mild day. Breakfast was ok, some things were dry as we don't do early breakfast so the 9.30 eaters basically get whats there but ok."
