"Warm room. Comfy bed. Hot and fairly powerful shower. Facilities, furnishings and deco dated but fully functional and as expected for a budget hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Middle of student area so external noise at a weekend shouldn’t surprise anyone and not the hotels fault. "The property wasn’t ready when we arrived for 3pm, eventually ready at 5pm. When we arrived the fridge was not turned on so we could not refrigerate anything for several hours, the doors were left closed so when opened the fridge smelled awful & very unhygienic. Cutlery & utensils were rusty & in very poor condition. "On arrival we thought we had booked the wrong hotel as it looked closed as there was a lot of fencing and debris outside the hotel. The receptionist was very welcoming and said the hotel was just opening after a period of closure and asylum residents. There was no bar or restaurant or facilities. We also paid £5 for car park as advertised but were then told we did not need to pay. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom dirty and had a leak.
