"The hotel was very good. Location was great, although if you're planning on walking to the waterfront, be prepared to walk up hill. Breakfast was better than expected, as it mentions "continental", but the hotel did offer a good selection. The room was big and the beds were comfortable. The extra sink station was a nice touch. A few minutes after we arrived in the room, we got a call from front desk asking if everything was ok or if we were missing anything, which I thought it was quite thoughtful. I don't remember any of the hotels that I stayed at before doing that. I would definitely stay there again."

"This was my second time visiting this hotel after a great experience the first time in 2022. The rooms are clean with comfy beds. The staff are fabulous. The restaurant is lovely -- with a couple of vegetarian options on the menu. It's amazing that this hotel has access to the shoreline of Chocolate Lake, and I love having the option to sit outside and enjoy the water. "

"We only spent one night at the Lord Nelson Hotel, but it was exactly the experience we were looking for. The location is very central and walkable to the waterfront. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The toiletries provided in the room smelled great and the mini-fridge meant you could keep things cold if you needed to. The service was accommodating and I would stay here again when visiting Halifax. "

"Very nice location. Close to outlet, mall, dining, coffee shop and gas station in the same parking lot of the hotel. Parking is free and very spacious. Wi-fi work well, comfy bed, very nice modern, clean room and bathroom. Very nice Staff. We decided to stay an extra nice and we got a nice price for the value. We’re definitely going back and I don’t mind to suggest this Hotel Sandman in Dartmouth Nova-Scotia! M.R"
