"Food good, breakfast nice, although expensive. Swimming pool looked and prob was lovely but right next to restaurant with glass walls so a bit too public for us. Nice sitting area close to trees with monkeys passing through. Staff very courteous and helpful, they arranged an elephant safari for us the same afternoon we arrived. The hotel is quite far from any other hotels or sights - Sigiriya is about 40 mins - so there’s no walking to eat anywhere else but you could get a tuktuk."

"The staff were excellent and extraordinary welcoming. We are an elderly couple and the staff took care of us like we were their own children. The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent. "The guesthouse is a basic one. Our room was equipped with a fan and a air-conditioner. There were some ants in the bathroom, but we could not find any of them in the room. Free soft drinks were provided. It seems that the guesthouse owner also owns a car renting company which can provide day-tour services for the guests, so once we had arrived at the guesthouse, the owner started to explain the tours for us. "Lovely hotel in great surrounding. Fab infinity pool for Insta worthy pics. The food at the hotel was outstanding and by far the best buffets we had during our trip to Sri Lanka and definitely the best hoppers. The hotel is built into a rock. Some areas felt a little dated in decor and check in was a bit slow but this could be due to the large numbers of people staying at the hotel. The pool boys at the infinity pool were fabulous in helping us take photographs that captured the beauty of the area. The room was lovely and we had a fantastic view of Sigiriya and a jacuzzi with an outside view. Great base for exploring Sigiriya and the Eco elephant safari."
