"This property is more upscale than I expected. The rooftop restaurant is very nice too with panoramic views of Mandalay. I made friends with the owner too, he is a very warm and welcoming gentleman."

But my biggest complaint was the absence of a trained hotel staff to check in our freind who arrived after ten pm. The older security guard did his best, but had no access to the computer system, did not understand that one could pre pay with a online booking service, and with our limited Thai he ran out of patience.
