"Booked this as an 18th Birthday present for my son and his girlfriend. Upon arrival they were asked to add on breakfast(which was already included) I called the hotel and receptionist said the manager would call me back, this was 3 weeks ago. Still no contact and off putting as it’s not a cheap hotel. "

"Hotel is very run down, we waited at the reception for a bit before being seen to! Hallway and stairs are in need of a good clean and paint! Very run down. Room was freezing, no heating on. Damp on windows and ceiling and that was supposed to be a refurbished room! Needless to say we didn’t stay and left straight away! Out of pocket. Light fitting in hall hanging down from ceiling (dangerous). Hallway hadn’t even been hoovered. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL!!! "

They tried to refuse service, even though their stated opening hours were for more than an hour after we arrived, and they kept giving us dirty looks through the open kitchen hatch. Front of house was excellent. The issue was the kitchen staff. "
