"We were there just over the past wknd. Great location to everywhere. The furniture is a bit old style, the floor made a bit of squeaking sound. Just over a night, so, it’s ok to us. The room is quite spacious room with big TV, but we didn’t bother to use it and used our iPhone and iPad instead. The only tiny complaint is that the bathroom floor need to swiped cleaner. "There was a nice feel to this hotel. It felt homely with it's creaky wooden stairs and beautiful bannister; when we came in late at night and let ourselves in through the big door with a key and crept up the stairs to our room so we didn't disturb any others, it felt like coming home! The staff were kind and smiley. Everything was simple but very clean and the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice: fresh fruit, yoghurt, meats, smoked salmon, cheeses and breads. A small selection of hot food...

"Very average facility at a very high cost. Food availability is limited and transport links are even less so overall not a great option unless you’re looking for a place to stay for a weekend. Rooms are not very comfortable, noisy you can hear snoring from next door, bathroom is too small and not well laid out for any comfort. Beautiful surroundings but that’s about it. Bedding is ok, no air conditioning only heating by radiator, parking is easy in open, and seemed enough space, WiFi doesn’t reach well to the rooms because it probably comes from the same hub as the reception which is in a separate building. Oh and you must leave a note on the door if you want the room cleaned, otherwise it will not be cleaned. "

"The staff were very helpful from the first step inside the lobby....... Actually reading my notes that my wife doesn't like elevators and putting us 1 floor up. Then ordering a pizza for us because it was quite late after long travel day. Finally switching our ribs when the heating wasn't working in the first room. Side note the hotel was very nice also. But the staff were the best"
