"Lovely stay with very helpful and attentive staff. There was an unfortunate incident where another guest almost drowned in the pool but was luckily rescued by the lifeguard. Both were quite shaken. The lifeguard should have been given a break after the incident rather than just a bottle of water. The pool is quite aged and had lots of visible algae growth, which needed to be cleaned. The pool could do with clearer signage to draw guest’s attention to the fact the pool is very deep for more than half of its length. It is very easy for someone to get out of their depth. My room was great and cosy. I slept well each night. The food and drink were great with lots of choice. I did message prior to my stay to request an early check in as my flight landed at 7.30am but received no response. Luckily I was able to use the spa facilities to change before going out for the day. I used the spa on my last day and was able to enjoy peaceful solitude. "
