"Guests checked in, 2 out of the 3 rooms already had guests in when they entered the rooms given. On evening meal in restaurant told staff of allergy however a tomato was one of the allergies and this was in the plate!"

"I liked the convenience of where it was and where I wanted to be. The size of the bed was very spacious and comfortable. The room was very dated and had wallpaper hanging off the wall, the bathroom sink surface was all chipped off and made it look scruffy. There were a number of moths in the room too."

"The room was very clean and the bed had lovely sheets. The shower was very good. However the main problem was there was no place to have breakfast, I was informed of this on my way to the hotel! As we came by train we could not go and find a place for breakfast. Staff told us there was a cafe where we could eat 2 minutes up the road, it was not a cafe but a service station that sold hot pies. Some Travelodges do breakfast to go boxes which would have been acceptable. In the room there was only one towel, two teabags and 2 coffee sachets and 2 milks. This was not adequate. For some reason there were also only 2 plugs which made it difficult, kept having to unplug something to plug in something else. At 11pm there was a group of very noisy guests shouting and fighting in the corridor and this lasted until nearly 1 o'clock. No attempt by staff was made to break this up, I think the police should have been called. We were staying during the heatwave and so l asked for a fan and was given a very effective brand new one. Value for money - very reasonable but would have preferred to pay more and had a better experience."

"Staff lovely but a bit clueless. Many phone calls later, nothing was prepared or processed as booked upon our arrival. We would stay here again, it’s a superb hotel/spa/golf club, but you definitely have to be prepared for a bit of faffing about and not to go through the central booking system. They are even more clueless, and tried to overcharge us as they were unaware of the special offers running at individual venues!"

"I enjoyed a solo spa day & stayed over night. The spa day was excellent, very well organised, reserved table on arrival and reserved lounger for the whole day, jacuzzi, steam room & sauna were amazing. Back and neck and shoulder massage was enjoyable and the afternoon tea was really nice. Very friendly staff, I ordered room service; beef burger and fries which was great. My room was nice, the bed was okay, but overall it was a nice overnight stay. I felt safe. The breakfast which was help yourself was lovely, I sat by the window and enjoyed the amazing views of the golf course. I will come again for the spa day"
