"My son and I stayed at the hotel as part of our WW I, WWII museum and battlefield tour. Dunkirk was an important stop on our way. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Staff were welcoming and friendly, room was great and the location, overlooking the beach and ocean was perfect. They also had by far and away the BEST and most upscale breakfast of any hotel we stayed in. Biggest tip: Pay extra for an ocean view. It was wonderful just sitting on the balcony watching people on the beach with their dogs and family, the ocean and sky."

"The room was very clean. Staff were friendly We chose not to have breakfast. Parking was excellent. The decor needed upgrading downstairs Looking into the hotel from the outside would make you feel that you did not want to stay yet the room itself was very good value for money. Was nice to have a kettle in the room but it needs a longer lead to reach a socket."

"Excellent hotel in a perfect position, hotel is very clean and reception area very welcoming, the reception staff are excellent, very welcoming and helpful, the room was big and very clean and bathroom had everything you needed, shower was good with shampoo and shower gel. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant area looked very nice. The hotels position was ideal as it was close to the beach and public transport and there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by, a very enjoyable stay made better by your friendly staff."

"This is a basic hotel. However for £30 it is excellent. Clean. Very comfy beds. The next door hotel has car chargers. Very small rooms however I assume most people do what we did and arrive late and leave in the morning. Perfect stop over hotel by Calais. Would come again. Helpful night manager so we could check in after the advertised check in hrs"

"Nice, large old hotel but not "worn". We came by bicycle and the locked garage much appreciated, although having to wait for reception to open at 0800 might have ben challenging. Breakfast was excellent - if a little pricey. Comfortable beds and good shower Would thoroughly recommend the "Het Wit Paard" for good beer and an authentic local Pub!"

"Easy enough to find, we stayed on a weekday so was quite enough. Car parking was very close by once you figure it out. 24 hours for £25 approx. Bit pricey. Hotel staff were excellent, spoke very good English Hotel stay was pleasant and close to the shores. Lots of little shops and food places nearby."

"Travelled by ferry from Dover to Dunkirk, hotel was a short drive from the port to an easily accessible car park very near the hotel with plenty of restaurant choices around. Staff were very welcoming and helpful at the hotel, and room had everything we needed."
